Notice of Data Security Incident

McNall & Associates, P.C. (“McNall”) is providing notice to impacted individuals of a recent event on behalf of its clients. McNall provides clients with assistance on subrogation or debt collection matters. The security of personal information is very important to us, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

What Happened?

On or around October 28, 2024, we identified suspicious activity associated with our network. As soon as we became aware of the activity, we took immediate steps to secure the environment and engaged outside computer forensic experts to assist. Our investigation has determined that a computer server that stores client information was accessed without authorization. Letters were mailed to those individuals for which McNall had addresses.

What Information Was Involved?

From our review, it appears that the information potentially accessed may have included individuals’ names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, and in some cases, limited health information.

What We Are Doing:

McNall takes the responsibility of safeguarding your information very seriously. To help prevent a similar incident from occurring in the future, we have worked to restore our systems, tightened access controls, and are evaluating additional technical safeguards to strengthen the security of our systems.

Letters were mailed to individuals for whom McNall has addresses, which contain more information about the incident as well as instructions for enrolling in credit monitoring and identity protection services through IDX, the data breach recovery experts.

What You Can Do:

Impacted individuals should be vigilant for the next 12 to 24 months and review credit reports, bank account and other financial statements, and immediately contact their financial institution if they identify suspicious activity.
